Ceremony Magazine Featured Wedding

Twin Oaks Garden Estate is one of our favorite Garden wedding venues, and we were thrilled to find out that Laura and Trevor’s wedding got featured in Ceremony Wedding Magazine. We were honored to work with this sweet couple and we had so much fun capturing all the sweet, funny, happy moments, and all the beautiful details that were carefully and lovingly thought out. (and it was so very beautiful)

Love Story:
Seven years prior to their wedding day, Trevor spotted a beautiful girl on a Carlsbad beach. He recounted that story to Laura on their special day, typing in out and sending it to her on a heart shaped note card. On the cusp of their new chapter, it was a touching remembrance of how their love began.

Steampunk Inspired Editorial Photography Session, San Diego

So excited to share this Steampunk inspired editorial shoot with you all. You may recognize Brandi’s lovely face, she’s one of our brides, and we’ve posted her engagement and wedding images in the past. We’re so glad we had a chance to work with her again, and it was especially fun creating a set for her here at the studio with the Steampunk look she was wanting. A local park supplied the other half of our set, the old train car and original leather seats were the perfect prop. Here are a few of our favs from this session.

Wedding photography teaser #1 at Julian Menghini Winery for Brian and Bria. Nestled in the valley surrounded by apple orchards and foothills, Menghini Winery is now one of my favorite wedding venues to photograph. In the photograph below, while walking through an open field I suggested that the couple take a moment to themselves, and of course I would be waiting with my finger on the shutter to capture that moment!

Grape Day Park Engagement Session Photography, San Diego

From the moment we met Kallie we loved her personal style, and we fell in love with the idea of her vision for her engagement photography session. Which was to be dressed in a casual outfit and cowboy boots, and her fiance Blake in a suit, and have the shoot take place in a field somewhere. This couple is from Los Angeles, but came down to San Diego for their engagement session. I love the field that we found just for them, (which looked extra pretty with the rain we had the previous week) , the session ended at Grape Day Park which worked out perfectly with the vintage elements the area had to offer. Love that Kallie brought balloons in her wedding color, which worked perfectly for the front of the Save The Date cards we created to tie in with the wedding theme.

Below are a few of our favorite photographs from Jennifer and Joshua’s San Diego Wild Animal Safari Park wedding. What a fun loving couple, they just enjoy not taking things so seriously, this couple and wedding bridal party were a ball to be around! I think their wedding cake says it all – I adore this cake, and it was a cake that Jennifer’s grandmother used to make for celebrations, so how sweet for Jennifer to keep up the tradition! It was a perfect day for a wedding, so excited that the butterfly exhibit was in season and that the butterflies landed all over the bride and groom for a few formal shots we snuck in during the wedding reception!
