Mills College Chapel and Orinda Country Club Wedding
When Kelley came across our published work in a San Francisco wedding magazine she did not realize that we were not local to the Bay Area. We immediately hit it off with the bride to be, and she and her fiance Gary decided to have us travel to their Oakland Wedding! After photographing their engagement session in San Diego (the couple came out for a little weekend getaway) we started counting down the days til the wedding. The couple’s positive/encouraging energy got us super excited, and as expected the wedding day proved to be inspirational as we watched the way this couple interacted with each other and their guests. The email Kelley wrote us after viewing their wedding photos for the first time still gives us goosebumps!
All we can say is “my God, God bless you, and thank you, thank you, thank you”! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Below are a few photos from their Oakland Wedding starting with the first look at Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa with ceremony at Mills College Chapel and reception following at Orinda Country Club. The photograph of Kelley walking down the aisle with and emotional Gary in the background is probably one of our favorite photos from the day!

Photojournalistic Wedding Photography – Candid Moments
Candid, photojournalistic wedding photography is our approach for the majority of the images we capture on the wedding day. Below are a few of our favorite story-telling images that were captured candidly and that make us smile. Our specialty is blending traditional and photojournalistic wedding photography to ensure that key moments/groups of people don’t get missed but that the photos still hold a natural quality that tell the story of the day/wedding couple. The key is adding in the fashion flair to our photos and videos to bring in the wow factor, achieved by the flattering off camera lighting setups brought to every event. We strive to create imagery that is true to the couple’s/families’ personalities, that are filled with the many emotions the wedding day will lend. Our goal is to capture and enhance every wedding with an artistic eye true to the Dapper Images fashion forward style, but with the flexibility needed to blend our ideas with the couple’s personal style/preferences. This will ensure that the clients who have given us the honor of capturing their love receive the aesthetic anticipated, but that their wedding photography is as unique as they are. In the next few weeks we’ll be posting more of our favorite photojournalistic wedding photography moments.

Our couples know that ‘we’ve got them’ and that in post production the beautiful is made more so. Retouching might be subtle or not, but we think it should always bring the photograph to life and set a mood. We personally enjoy seeing the transformation as we work on the images and thought it would be fun to share it with you all.
The new Ceremony Magazine just came out at Los Angeles newsstands and we are thrilled to see the featured images that were chosen for publication. Anisse is beautiful and thanks to all the pros that made every detail come together perfectly.

We had the pleasure of photographing at the chic Twin Oaks Garden Estate, San Marcos CA once again. The gardens seem to grow more beautiful at every visit and the staff/venue upgrades never ceases to amaze us. It’s an honor to have Dana and Ryan select us as their San Diego wedding photographers! The wedding day was filled with so much energy, the family was a joy to photograph. Below are a few photographs from the special day.
You’ll notice the ivy heart on the invitation, look for this incorporated in the wedding florals by Jerri Disney to carry on the theme.
Our fav chandelier at the venue
Sexy Stilettos by Fergie shoes. Fergie personally had these custom heels made for Dana featuring the couples name imprinted on the inside.
Heart Tie! <3
Stephanie and Paul’s vision for their San Diego engagement session was to capture their carefree, fun loving spirit while surrounding themselves with the things they love. This couple is glowing!
During our initial meeting Stephanie described the gold dress she purchased for the engagement session and how she envisioned her and Paul twirling and splashing in the water. Deshun and I were so excited to see how it would all come together! The dress looks like liquid gold and Paul is so handsome in his suit and bowtie – these photos make me smile.

Thank you Taz and Katie for having us on this beautiful day at the picturesque Los Willows Estate, Fallbrook. It’s always a pleasure to capture a wedding in these lush surroundings. Below are just a few photographs from the sunny San Diego wedding celebration. Click here to see more moments from the couple’s wedding highlights.
Katie and Taz chose Michael Tiernan as their musician and DJ. You may have heard of Michael, he is an award winning recording artist and has quite the following – his music is a delight! The wedding cake artist is a friend of the couple, the intricate design is truly a work of art! But the one thing Deshun and I will mostly remember about the day is Taz’s face everytime he looked at Katie (especially his emotional response to her walking down the aisle). He treasures and adores her, their love is an inspiration.
