Woodsy. Pine trees. Estate. Personalized. Outdoorsy. Breathtaking. Barbeque. Woodsy. Nature. Fun loving. Live band. Made with love. Woodsy! When we found out that Jeff and LeeAnn’s wedding was going to take place at the Stiver family estate, we couldn’t wait to get to North Bend, WA to check out this one-of-a-kind 80 acre property. Jeff’s parents built this estate several years ago by carving out a lot out of land that consisted of only pine trees, yep that’s it, all trees! They really had their work cut out for them! And they did an amazing job, this is a place you would want to have a long relaxing vacation at. At least we got to stay in the guest quarters a few days – it was so cool to have our photo studio equipment literally a step away from the wedding reception, easy access to everything we need!
The morning of the wedding we were graced with the presence of a deer with it’s little fawn munching on the reception lawn – so so adorable! The path to the ceremony site was carved out of the woods, over a half a mile in (you’ll see the handmade signs below that led the way) to an opening surrounded by trees that the groom and best man made with a land clearing machine (forgot what those are called). We posted more images on this blog post than we usually do, but with so many unique elements we just had to so that you could get the full ‘picture’ of what LeeAnn and Jeff had in store for their guests!
Not only do we have the privilege of capturing couples and their families’ precious moments, having the bride and groom bring us out to exciting new destinations is an honor. Thank you to Jeff and LeeAnn and your family for your hospitality (and for telling us how to get to the secret swimming hole that only locals know about) and for entrusting us with your special memories! Love you guys!
This is what we were greeted with upon arrival. Ok! Wow!
The first of the hand made wooden signs, making sure you don’t get lost in the woods…
Bridal room with a view
The invite clearly stated ‘heels not recommended’, the bride set an example with these sparkly sandals, perfect for the outdoorsy wedding!
Aww mother and daughter trying to keep dry eyes, so sweet.
Assembly line…actually they were all looking at each other trying to figure out how this is done
A friend of the couple made this wedding gift, love how it tied in with theme and how it was put to good use at the wedding.
Had to post the story behind the extraordinary cakes the mother of the bride created
Jeff’s ring is woodsy! Ahhh I love it!
You may recognize the groom’s cousin, actor Will Forte for SNL and McGruber to name a few
