Condor’s Nest Ranch Wedding, Pala :: Sarah + Trey

Condor’s Nest Ranch Wedding, Pala CA

We have been anticipating this Pala Wedding at Condor’s Nest Ranch because we’ve heard so many great things about this venue, and even then it exceeded our expectations!  Sarah and Trey are such an amazing couple to work with, and their love for each other is so evident.  We loved listening to the touching vows they wrote for each other, there were many happy tears to photograph on this day!  (Check out the ‘Hankies for your tears, or your pockets’ clothesline of handkerchiefs the couple built!)  You can tell by the detail images below that lots of time was spent into creating them, they are so beautiful and creative!  Also love how the Condor’s Nest Ranch provides mismatched dinner plates, the designs go so well together – so fun!  Thanks to Ady from Makeup By Ady for making Sarah and her bridesmaids look extra pretty.  Hair by Brandy Sanford (Porter & Hudson Salon, Pacific Beach).   Cute cupcakes were cut for cake cutting, provided by Baby Cakes.  Wedding gown from D’Angelo, Mission Valley.  Hope we get to photograph at the Condor’s Nest Ranch again soon.  Click here to see more rustic San Diego weddings.

San Diego Wild Animal Safari Park Wedding Photography :: Jennifer + Joshua

Below are a few of our favorite photographs from Jennifer and Joshua’s San Diego Wild Animal Safari Park wedding.  What a fun loving couple, they just enjoy not taking things so seriously, this couple and wedding bridal party were a ball to be around!  I think their wedding cake says it all – I adore this cake, and it was a cake that Jennifer’s grandmother used to make for celebrations, so how sweet for Jennifer to keep up the tradition!  It was a perfect day for a wedding, so excited that the butterfly exhibit was in season and that the butterflies landed all over the bride and groom for a few formal shots we snuck in during the wedding reception!  Exotic wedding florals by Posies Flowers, and special thanks to wedding coordinator Absolutely Events for making the day flow perfectly! San Diego Steele Canyon Golf Club Wedding Photography-Jamul, CA :: Stephanie + Johnny

Our first time photographing a wedding at Steele Canyon Golf Club was an amazing experience with Stephanie and Johnny!  We absolutely love this lush wedding venue, and the purples that were chosen to tell the color story went so well with the greenery and warm architecture that was present.  Loved the brides wedding shoes, so cute that there are little hearts on the bottom of them, and love the sparkly bridesmaids bracelets that the mother of the bride found on one of her shopping trips.  The couple had a traditional wedding ceremony, but with hispanic traditions as well, by exchanging the 12 coins, and the uniting with a cord.  I love that Johnny also said his vows in Spanish as well as english, video footage to come soon!  This San Diego wedding venue offered plenty of options for formal photographs, and following the newlywed photography, the couple entered the ballroom and danced their first dance right as the sun was setting through the large reception windows.  It was especially hard not to tear up during the ‘mother – daughter’ dance as Stephanie and her mom wiped tears from each others eyes.  Such a gorgeous wedding, one of my favorite wedding details was the brides intricate wedding dress, it was so beautiful on her!  And we just loved their wedding Dj, Electrifying Events – amazing job!

One of my favorite shots, I placed Stephanie’s veil in front of my lens to create this soft look.  Once the corners were aged a bit and the coloring was enhanced, this image really came to life.

Admiral Kidd Wedding Photography, San Diego :: Jessica + Michael

It is rare that we capture a morning wedding, this 10 o’clock a.m. wedding took place on a slightly overcast morning, overlooking the ocean and San Diego skyline.  I love that Jessica wore her cousin’s pearls as her ‘something borrowed’,  Jessica’s late grandmother had given them to her cousin, and her cousin lent it to the bride for the wedding.  What really caught our eye is the 205 year old lace veil that Jessica wore.  It was originally a lace tablecloth that her grandmother obtained from Brussels, and turned into a veil for her wedding in 1955.  It was then worn by the bride’s mother and aunt at their wedding, and now it was Jessica’s turn!  Jessica’s family baked and decorated dozens of cute cupcakes to accompany the sweet pearl and rosette wedding cake that the couple cut.  Michael is in the navy, and in a few months will be stationed in Italy for three years, the couple is excited for their new life there, and are calling it their ‘3 year Italian Honeymoon’

L’Auberge + Powerhouse Wedding, Del Mar :: Carrie + David

Such a pleasure capturing Carrie and David’s winter wedding at one of our favorite venues, L’auberge Hotel and The Powerhouse in Del Mar. I loved Carrie’s dress, especially the large ruffle in the back of her dress that flowed vertically from top to bottom.  Bright Blue Florals and white Stargazers were used for the cascading bouquet and table centerpieces, by Carlos’ Floral in Encinitas.  The glowing bride’s makeup and hair done by Amanda & Ellie at Salon Radius.  Amazing that there was no rain this day, it rained so heavily the days preceding the wedding, and the days following the wedding, so they just missed it by one day – gorgeous sunset was included, even on this slightly overcast day…..so beautiful!  I thought it was so neat the Carrie’s veil was a piece from her mothers wedding dress from the 60’s and that her beaded purse was a gift from her grandmother.  Lighting and Music by Positive Energy DJ, cake by VG Donuts, Cardiff.

Balboa Park Engagement Session :: Mindy + Eli

One of the must-haves for Eli and Mindy’s e-session was to incorporate their race car, and do some shots in their suits, to show their love for the Rally Racing they do together -I love it!  You can check out their website ‘Tommy Gun Rally Team’ by clicking here. Such a fun couple, can’t wait for their El Cortez wedding in April!
