Yay! We got to work with Erica + Erik again, this time for a Trash The Dress session, where the vision was to incorporate scenes of nature into romantic photoshoot. We’ve worked with Erica many times, starting with her popular bachelorette party fashion shoot, click here to take a peek! I love Deshun’s idea of stringing select images of the couple’s wedding from trees (Deshun’s height came in very handy this day) to add a dreamy, eclectic feel to the shoot. Erica wore her hair more casual than the actual wedding, and even brought a pair of extra sparkly shoes that she originally thought she might wear to the wedding, so that added a nice touch. Erik’s look was also a bit more casual, love his argyle socks. Click here to get a glimpse of their Del Mar beach wedding.

Nicole and Joe got married a year ago, and it was so great working with them again as we captured their TTD session, that they did to celebrate their anniversary! Nicole was going for a grungy look, and we are so glad that a local salvage yard was open to us shooting at their place! I love the dark eyes and chunky jewelry paired with the black heels, and how Joe wore a suit that he had in his closet and loosened his bow tie for a nonchalant look. The overcast weather paired with our studio lights gave the images a moody feeling, and the car that was in the middle of the yard was so perfect! The couple added a second location to their session, and we ended at Grape Day Park which offered a variety of scenery and of course the large fountain that Joe and Nicole jumped into – COLD!
This dreamy shot was created with our infrared camera, the grass and trees have a surreal look to them when shot with this camera
